Kankakee County / Will County — seasonal — Field Service — 28–$30/hour
- Lead a crew of 2–3 technicians on installation jobs, providing clear direction, training, and quality oversight. - Oversee job preparation: load and organize vehicles with materials, tools, and equipment; review detailed job packets, pre-measurements, and installation plans. - Perform and supervise advanced permanent lighting installations including track systems, individually addressable LED pixels, data controllers, power supplies, precise wire routing, and soffit/peak protocols. - Install and oversee landscape lighting fixtures, wiring, and transformers to company standards. - Hang, install, and remove holiday lighting decorations with precision and care for customer property. - Diagnose and resolve complex issues with lighting systems, controllers, connections, and commissioning on-site. - Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work site at all times. - Provide excellent on-site customer communication and brand representation. - Complete thorough post-installation checks, system commissioning, and customer handoff. - Mentor and support Field Technician I team members on proper techniques and standards. - Follow all safety protocols and company installation standards; uphold quality control on every job.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. - Proven experience in lighting installation, electrical work, construction, or related field (prior permanent LED, landscape, or holiday lighting experience strongly preferred). - Demonstrated ability to lead a small crew of 2–3 people. - Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including ladders and heights. - Strong attention to detail and pride in premium workmanship. - Solid electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. - Physical fitness – ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders, and remain on feet for extended periods. - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or lead a small crew. - Willingness to train and mentor junior technicians.
